Free tutorial in the making and I started with a short goldsmith course! ^_^

Hai guys,

I believe I promised you for a while back that I would make a free tutorial… but I was doubting about what I should make… this past week I’ve been trying out a few things and came up with something…

I’m going to keep it a secret for now because it’s just in it’s begin fase…

Here’s a hint:  it’s got a 14 mm rivoli as center, some cute 2 mm glass pearls and superduo’s… There are more beads involved of course ^_^

And my other news… Since a few weeks I started a short goldsmith course! And I am soooo excited about it! Although I started with some test material… I do want it to be good!

Here’s a picture of the project I’m working on :

In my first lesson I carved the design on a piece of brass and started to saw.

In the third lesson I was finished sawing and now had to start with filing and sanding.

Here you see the side of the project that is filed and sanded.

After lesson five, I’m finished with the filing and sanding of it… In the next lesson I will start with polishing and maybe start with soldering!

I’m looking forward to my next lesson! It’s only ten lessons for this time… So I do hope to finish it ^_^

Change of scenery!

Hey there!

For the ones that read my blog, I’ve been busy with a change of scenery for my tutorials and blog.

As you can see I’ve kept it very clean and easy to navigate. At least I think so ^_^

There were a few reasons but the main one was that I cancelled my original hosting & domain for purebiart.com. First I was going to put my jewellery on here also but I chose to not do that and only for my tutorials.

You can always go to my (Dutch) website http://www.sieradenvanbianc.nl for my jewellery. I will be going to make a new website for that one also… But that will take a while I think.

I haven’t been very active with beads these last few weeks… Although I have made a new pair of bead embroidery earrings… Just have to figure out what kind of fringe I am going to give them before shooting pictures…

Well, that’s it for now! If you see any mistakes on my new website, don’t hesitate to contact me… I would appreciate it!

Ring tutorial update

I’ve been busy busy with the tutorial… The testing is almost done and I have to put the dots on the I’s and I hope to finish it by friday…

Sorry for the delay but much has happened over the last week… ^_^

Some good, some bad… every time if you have a tough decision to make is hard…

JBB Update!

Hai there!

Just an update for you all… I am still hard at work on the ring tutorial. The graphics are a bit hard for me to make but I am confident that I can make it work. I am also taking pictures in between… Maybe that will help the progress… Sorry for the delay!

Also I am planning to release a free tutorial after this one… I’m not sure when exactly but I already made a necklace with the componements and I must say… It looks very elegant!

Further I couldn’t believe my eyes this morning when I opened my mail… I am also active on craftsy.com and I saw that my free tutorial Cute as a button had selled over 200 times! WOW!

I am so glad that people are happy with that free tutorial!!

Now, what did I wanted to say more?

Ah yes, I am quite busy these days with re-arranging my living room. Hopefully I will be able to give a beadingday once in a while with fellow beaders to exchange thoughts but also meeting new people! Can’t wait for my new (secondhand) table and chairs!

I already have a new beading storage cabinet for everything that has to do with beads in my livingroom:

The colored (and the black ones) drawers is where I store my beads and materials in. Everthing else I store in boxes up on the cabinet to safe me room as I have my “workingspace” in my livingroom… It’s toooo cold upstairs to work there!

Ok, I guess I crossed everything of my list to update you all!

The weather looks good here so I hope to make some nice pictures of the new necklace and the ring samples I’ve made till now!

Another sample of the new tutorial… I just began today with the written tutorial… Hopefully in a few weeks (about two) it will be finished and then has to be tested…

Hiya!

Yesterday eve I’ve finally finished a sample for the ring tutorial. Although I was waiting for my materials to arrive… I just had to try it with the one rivoli (it was given to me so I don’t know how and what about this one) I had…

This is the result… It’s a slightly different version of the Golden Valentine ring but still… I like it very much!

My new materials just arrived…  ^_^ … I will be busy these next couple of days… maybe I will update you guys in the weekend or sooner… Depends on how it goes ^_^…

Also I’ve made a pendant that looks more like the GV ring… I used a rivoli pendant in this one to work with the materials I have…

The next tutorial is on the way!

Yesterday evening I’ve begun working on a new tutorial.

I was asked if there was a tutorial for my Golden Valentine ring… but I didn’t make notes when I’ve made it… but yesterday I’ve made an almost exact copy of it… I’m not completely satisfied but that’s because the colors aren’t really matching *mumbels*

Notes were taken and I just ordered new materials to make new samples!

The nice part is that you can also make an necklace or bracelet with this tutorial… I’ve made the one I finished last night in a pendant… Now to make it work how I want it…

Nenet – A bead embroidery bracelet (soft cuff)

I’ve finished my third bead embroidery bracelet! The name Nenet means Goddess of the Water. It’s an Egyptian name and I thought it just suited this piece.

I am absolutely happy with it!

Of course I’ve made pictures today but the weather isn’t really sunny here so I have to make do with them. Hopefully I will get to take better ones soon!

Don’t know what my next project will be…
