Information about the tutorial:

When I bead and design I always look for names that clicks with the piece that I am making… With this pendant I came across Kallista. The name Kallista is Greek of origin and has the meaning: most beautiful.

Almost immediately I fell in love with the name and had to insert it into the title! And thus, Star of Kallista was born.

This PDF file contains 25 pages with step by step instruction together with computer made images to guide you through the steps and how to make this wonderful pendant. And some photo’s of the samples.

Project Difficulty : Intermediate.

I will email the PDF file to you within 24 hours of receiving notification of a payment.

Please make sure that you filled in the right email address when you order this tutorial. I will email (sieradenvanbianc@gmail.com) you within 24 hours after receiving payment. Unless it prevents me, due to unforeseen circumstances, from sending you the file.

If you haven’t received the PDF file within this timespan please check your spam folder. If it’s not in there, please contact me.

The hope is that the tutorial will be published somewhere next week… It will be available in two languages: Dutch and English.

That’s it for now! See you next time!

What’s on my beadingtray?

I thought it would be nice to let you see what I’m working on… Although I have no clue myself yet what I’m making… I only know that I bezeled 11 (one more to go!) 8 mm preciosa chatons… Pfeww…

A picture of what it looks like after a bit of cleaning before going to bed…

I have currently three of these plastic trays… they are very light weight and handy to work on with my beads… and the price was very nice… Just one euro!

The table I bought just a week ago…

I like to bead on the couch with the tv on… Still haven’t found a good chair so I can also bead at my beadstation (ehh desk that is… :))..

Hope you liked it and see you next time!

Busy with some …

Busy with some chatons, seedbeads and minidrops… Maybe I will throw in a spike or a dagger? Or do I have some other nice beads to play with? Think I’m going to have to go on a scavenger hunt through my drawers with beads 🙂

Free pattern Cute as a button earrings now available!!

I’m sooo excited to announce that my first (free and written in English) pattern is now available!

caab 1a

Cute as a button started out as just another pair of earrings but then I thought… Why don’t I make a pattern of it?

It’s a simple and easy to make earring pattern and they are cute!

You can find the pattern on my patterns page of this blog.

Love to hear from you what you think about it!

Have fun beading and see you next time!

Tester wanted… for cute as a button pattern!

Looking for a tester for my Cute as a button pattern/tutorial!

The pattern is written in English and is relatively easy and simple to make… I don’t have a lot of experience in making patterns/tutorials so there can be a mistake in the graphs!

The things you need:
… …
Beads:
• ca. 2.5 gr. of 11/0 seedbeads
• ca. 1.0 gr. of 15/0 seedbeads
• 2 x dagger beads – 11×3 mm (or similar)
• 2 x gumdrops – 10×7 mm

Tools:
• Size 12 beading needle
• 1 pair of earring findings
• Thread
(I used 2lb fireline but you can use a slightly thicker thread if you want. But please note that I made this pattern with the 2lb fireline in my mind!).
• Scissors
• Thread conditioner (optional)

Love to hear from someone who would like to test it!

Planning: free pattern of Cute as a button earrings!

Simple & easy to make but aren’t they cute??

Cute as a button

I will be making a short pattern of these small cuties!

Keep the blog in your sights for when I release the pattern!

See you next time…

Golden Valentine – beadwork pendant/ring and cute as a button earrings

Golden Valentine, I thought it was an appropriate name for this one. You can wear it as a ring on your finger or, if you want, you can wear it as a pendant.

Golden Valentine

And these cute as a button earrings are a favorite of mine. They are made with gumdrops and a dagger bead on the bottom.

Cute as a button

Well, I’ve got to run now!

See you next time… 🙂

Helaine, a spikey beadwork pendant & new photo’s of Dianthe

I’ve been busy today but I’ve made some new photo’s of Dianthe and of my new beadwork pendant with black spikes that I named Helaine. I used 4 mm firepolished beads, 11/0 and 15/0 seebbeads. This one I will keep in my private collection!

And two more pictures of Dianthe:

Here you can see how deep the rivoli sits.

And also, I have found three testers for my pattern Star of Kallista… I am so happy that they can and will test it for me!

See you next time!
